You know how many ways Amazon uses to get customers?
A BAJILLION…
They get customers from EVERYWHERE. From Google, Facebook, Instagram, X, recommendations, books, articles, etcetera, etcetera…
Every big company has multiple sources of leads.
Why?
If one goes down, it doesn't impact them in the slightest.
“Of Course… These Are Enormous Companies!”
How many lead generation methods does your business have?
If the answer is “one” what would happen if that pillar fell?
Your business would immediately go into red alert. You’d be plunged into chaos, trying to fix the issue while your one source of income has flown into the abyss!
Same thing applies with having a single person in full control of a job. If that person gets sick or quits or gets hit by a meteor, your business would implode faster than a submarine on it’s way to see the Titanic.
And who’s fault is that? YOURS!
If they’re the person who handles all the money and has all the passwords, well… it’s not looking good.
If you have "one" of anything in your business, it should be a high priority to get it to at least 1.5, preferably to 2.
It’ll take extra time and hassle, but as Murphy’s Law states:
“Anything That Can Go Wrong, Will Go Wrong”
Anything can happen at any time. Even if it’s the last thing you expect to go down.
Not because you’re unlucky or because the universe hates you.
It’s just probability.
The good part is: it’s fully under your control. If you know you have one thing that could break which would absolutely destroy you… you can change that!
You can create multiple lead gen methods. Have multiple ads. Hire multiple staff!
Pepsi didn’t run the same ad for 20 years straight. They made new ones.
Because times change, trends change and the world moves at an extremely fast pace.
Your Name Needs To Be EVERYWHERE
Don’t depend on one channel. Have multiple.
Protect your business by becoming anti-fragile. If one channel goes down, make sure you’ve got a dozen others up your sleeve.
Start building them RIGHT NOW so you don’t have to start from zero when things go south.
Here’s a couple good examples to begin with:
- Facebook (Both paid and organic)
- Instagram (Both paid and organic)
- X
- TikTok
- Threads
- Email newsletters
- and YouTube
The worst number in business is “1”.
Most businesses crumble because they rely on one thing only. Don’t make the same mistake.
